Basic Info:
Cowan's Gap State Park is located between Chambersburg and McConnellsburg, in Fulton County, PA. Cowan's Gap is situated high atop a mountain and surrounded by Buchanan State Forest.
Trails:
Ten miles of hiking trails are available in this park. There are also several other trails in the adjacent state forest land. The park advises that some of the trails are NOT for beginners due to the rugged terrain. (Cameron, Horseshoe & Three Mile)
Other Items Offered:
Boating, camping, environmental education and interpretive programs, fishing, hunting, picnic areas. Ice fishing, ice skating and cross-country skiing are permitted in the winter months.
