Basic Info:
Kooser State Park is located on PA Route 31, midway between the Donegal and Somerset turnpike interchanges, at the eastern foothills of Laurel Mountain Summit. It's situated in the heart of the Laurel Highlands and features 250 acres of forest.
Portions of Kooser State Park will close in 2002 while renovations are taking place. Areas closed include the overnight facilities, swimming beach and Mighty Oak Pavilion. Other day-use recreation such as fishing, hiking and picnicking will remain open to the public.
Trails:
You will find 1 mile of trails at Kooser State Park. The Kincora Trail was named in honor of an Irish priest. There are several shorter trails in the "day use area". You can also use the cross-country ski trails for hiking.

Camping, fishing, hunting, picnic areas, swimming, cross-country skiing.
