Basic Info:
Maurice K. Goddard State Park is best known for great fishing in the 1,860-acre Lake Wilhelm, but the park will soon receive additional attention when a new multi-use trail is completed.
Trails:
Hike along the lake or in the wooded open fields. You'll find a total of 14 miles of trails.
Construction has begun on a 12.2-mile multi-use trail at M.K. Goddard State Park in Mercer County. The trail will consist of a paved loop trail, which encircles the park portion of the 1,860-acre Lake Wilhelm. Work includes construction of an eight-foot-wide asphalt path, and replacement and re-decking of several bridges. The $2.9 million "Growing Greener" project is expected to be completed late this year.
