Hiking Information
Basic Info:
The YRT North Section is a 43-mile limestone surfaced trail built along the "railbanked" right-of-way of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad between McKeesport and Connellsville. This keystone section of the Great Allegheny Passage has been completed from McKeesport to Connellsville and is open and free to the public!

The Yough River Trail is designed as a non-motorized, shared-use, recreational trail designed for hiking, among other activities. (See Other Items Offered)

Trails:
The Youghiogheny River Trail is part of the Great Allegheny Passage,a 152 mile bicycle and walking trail connecting Cumberland, MD with Pittsburgh, PA, with a 52 mile branch to the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Other Items Offered:
Bicycling, walking, fishing and canoe access, nature study, historic appreciation, cross-country skiing, picnicking, and horseback riding.
